Bridal Sessions | StopGo Photography

A little bit fashion, a little bit attitude, but all you!  StopGo photography offers one hour Bridal Sessions, to be shot before or after your wedding day, to allow you to get some extra miles outta that wedding dress and play fashion model for the day.  Whether you keep it soft and choose to have your session in a lush forrest , or if you are feeling a little more punk rock and choose to trash your dress all together in the mud, ocean, or a city fountain; it's your call as to what kind of fabulous you're gonna be.  And naturally, we at StopGo Photography wouldn't have it any other way.

Scott + Laura | San Diego Wedding Photography

Warm. Down-to-Earth. Fun; that is what my most recent Bride and Groom embody in a nut-shell.  So when I was invited to photograph Scott and Laura's summer wedding, I knew it was going to be a blast.  And if these two weren't enough fun on their own, they came with an amazing family in tow; representin' from both sides of the pond.  The bride even kept a  6 pence in her shoe!  British and Southern accent's galore, I may or may not have belted out Lady Gaga tunes with this group into the wee hours of the night.  Seriously... I have never heard or partook in so much laughter at a wedding before this one!

Brian + Jenn | San Diego Wedding Photography

Here are some of my favorites from Brian and Jenn's San Diego wedding.  I shot this wedding with the ever tallented and amazing Albie.  These two started their day out with their ceremony at Saint Pius X Catholic Church in Chula Vista and ended up at Jasmine's on Convoy for their tea ceremony and reception.  Jenn actually rocked two dresses that night, as you'll see below.  It was an honor to have been invited to shoot your wedding.  It really was a blast  {>o<}

Things We Love | Wedding Shoes With Bows

 

Just one look at the logo for this very site tells you that this sista lovelovelove's her some bows!  And what a better way to sneak a pair into your wedding than on your wedding shoes.

Big ones, small ones, red ones, glittery goodness... it's really up to you.  At StopGo Photography, we heart all our amazing brides and all the fabulous ways they wear their bows.

I even invented the emoticon for a bow as you'll see at the end of all my blog posts.  Yes, the way we see it bows are a chic, often offbeat addition to your wedding's styling.

Golden Scissors Fashion Show | San Diego Fashion

Anyone who knows me knows that I love a good fashion show. The creativity, the drama, the music. Honestly, what's not to love? The most recent fashion show I was invited to shoot was the San Diego Mesa College's 30th annual Golden Scissors Fashion Show downtown at the Harbor Island Sheraton. It was amazing to see the Marina Room transformed as the stage for San Diego fashion. Of course backstage was chaotic at times, but the Hair and Make-up teams from San Diego City College worked their magic on all the models and made sure they were styled to fit their garment. The show started with two guest alumni designers' most recent works. <--break->

Things We Love: IPod Nano Watch

For those of you who dont know, I recently celebrated my 28th birthday.  Of course much dancing, shots, and cupcakes were had by all (not necessarily in that order) but one thing that I did not anticipate were the gifts my husband got me.  In particular, the new IPOD Nano with a 'watch skin'!  It's so super rad that I swear I must have sold a hundred of them by now, just judging by the ooohs and aaaahs from random strangers.

I use the Nano for four things: I use it as a watch.  I use it as a fitness tracker (it's amazing how many steps I take during a shoot)!  I use it to blast play-lists of music from a wedding or shoot to get in the proper mindset while I'm batch editing the related photographs.  And finally, I upload some of my favorite work to be ready at all times to show people what I do for a living. :)


Seriously, apple must have been thinking of photographers when they designed their new Nano, because it's rocks my world.  Way more useful than any kitchen gadgets... and not to mention, fabulous!

New Year, New Site | Welcome to Stopgo Photography

Another year in the books with 2010 already come and gone.  Now it's 2011 and Stopgo Photography's celebrating the new year with a new site!!  This puppy's loaded with tons of images (a whopping three galleries to check out), social networking galore (facebook, twitter, rss feeds, the works) and a spiffy new blog integrated into the site itself.  The new digs are curtesy of the amazing John Pezzetti over at Other Half Full, a genius design-house, so if you like what you see here contact them for any design or web awesomeness. Make sure to check back regularly as to keep in touch with everything StopGo. So without any further adieu,  go and enjoy the new site already!

Fab Fridays | A White Story

In efforts to shoot and share more fashion work and inspirations, I'm starting a weekly bit called. . . you guessed it, 'Fab Fridays'. Every Friday you can expect me to share what's new in the world of Stopgo Photography, whether that be a fashion shoot, a small wedding collection, or even a post on what's inspiring me that week. All in all, it will be fabulous. Kicking off our first Fab Friday is a fashion collection shot around the concept of 'A White Story', which ultimately fit's in with my plans to shoot more offbeat bridal!

Kendall + Mike | San Diego Wedding Photography

I knew I'd love the bride's shoes when I heard they'd be a silky navy blue, but when I saw the bows, I was in love. So what better a way to start off another rockin' blog entry than with some rockin' shoes! I shot Kendall and Mike's wedding with the always amazing Albie at The North Chapel nestled within the historic NTC Promenade.
